1983, 39' Folkes Steel Cutter, currently in Juneau, AK Seattle, WA in 4/04

CONTACT: Mike Hanley (907) 209-6546, Michael.e.hanley@poa02.usace.army.mil

ASKING:  $59,000 US

Beam: 11' Draft: 5.5' Headroom: 6'2" - 7'

Displacement: 13.5 tons

I purchased the boat in Seattle 9/01.  The boat is currently located in Juneau, AK.  I will be relocating to Seattle, WA in 4/04.

Accommodations & Layout: Professionally done in Mahogany throughout the interior.  The forward peak is the chain locker/rode storage. The V Berth has a large bed with a split mattress and hanging locker. Water tank is under the berth. Aft to port is the head with shower and sink, to starboard is a storage locker with Force 10 Kerosene heater attached. In the main salon to port is the dinette with bench seats which can be made into a double bed for extra accommodation. Book shelves are forward of the table. Across from the table is the settee(sea berth) with more storage behind and under. Aft of the dinette is the galley including large counter space over engine (box built to completely disassemble for complete engine access), large sink, 2 burner kerosene stove and oven. Starboard side across from galley is the fridge and battery storage space.

The entire hull is insulated with 1 ½ inches of sprayed in foam insulation.  (except in the bottom of the bilge)

This is a safe full keeled, bulletproof bluewater cruising sailboat.  I think that it would be hard to find one this well equipped in the Northwest.  I spent two years searching for something in this price range and finally found this boat.  I have really enjoyed it but a new relationship forces a change in lifestyle and location.
